Tubular Lead Options

Table of Contents

Type 1

is the most common type of lead arrangement offered by Kelvin. This option features a threaded stud with Mica insulation and zinc-plated nuts.

Type 2

is commonly called a flag connector that features a nickel-plated terminal that is spot welded directly to the terminal pin of the element. A 10/32 binding head screw is included in the connector for final termination.

Type 3

provides a right angle exit from the terminal pin. This option is the single best connector for preventing over-tightening and breakage at terminal pin during installation.

Type 4

is a heavy-duty unthreaded terminal pin exiting the element.

Type 5

is a quick-connect spade terminal and is spot welded to the pin exiting the element. This provides a convenient and secure electrical connection. It can be welded straight or at right angle to terminal pin.

Type 6

wire leads are attached to the terminal pin using a butt splice connector or other means, dependent on application. Leads can also be protected in flexible metal hose or stainless steel braid.
