Type AR thermostats are for use in general purpose industrial applications where close control of process temperatures is not a requirement. The sensing bulb should never be directly immersed in corrosive liquids, lead, tin, or stereotype metals, where a protective well must be used. For open-top tanks operating up to 100 oC ( 212 oF ), the bulb and capillary can be encased in PVC sleeving.

SENSOR MATERIALS - AR3769 and AR 376893 have stainless steel bulb and capillaries, all other units are nickel plated copper.
Industrial HIGH LIMITS
Type ARC thermal cutouts are recommended for use in industrial processes where control malfunction, loss of liquid level, or air flow may cause a safety hazard or could result in damage to the heater. Controls have a screwdriver adjustement to prevent tampering. If limit temperature is reached the contacts will open and remain open until the temperature has dropped below the control setting and the control reset button is activated.
