Heaters

Cartridge Heaters

Imperial and Metric Cartridge Heaters offer a wide range of advantages and can be effectively applied where fast and efficient heat transfer is required. We have the ability to provide watt densities in excess of 400 watts per square inch, specific internal heat profiles and thermal controls to reduce temperature variances. A multitude of lead configurations are available that will ensure Kelvin Technologies will provide you with the “right” solution for your heating requirements.

Mica Band and Strip Heaters

Mica insulated heaters are unique combination of materials designed to increase heater life and durability. The heaters shown represent typical heaters used in the plastics industry.

Ceramic Heaters

Ceramic insulated heaters offer higher operating temperature with longer service life at lower energy costs. These heaters feature interlocking ceramic segments, which reduce breakage and provide flexibility.

Flexible Heaters

Flexible Heaters offer unparalleled design and application advantages over other more conventional heating elements. Flexible heaters are unique in their ability to
be engineered for each application. These light-weight, extremely efficient elements
provide heat only where it is needed. In addition Flexible elements can
be manufactured in an infinite number of shapes and sizes.

Coil and Cable Heaters

Coil Heaters are simply a coiled version of a “Cable Heater”, and come in a variety of diameters, shapes, sizes and watt densities. These high performance heaters are offered in various cross sections including square, rectangular and round and are typically best suited for demanding and high temperature applications. Consult one of our Application Specialists to design the right Coil or Cable Heater for you.

Tubular Heaters

Tubular Heaters are available in various diameters, sheath materials and lengths. These industrial grade heaters are fully annealed for easy forming and can be supplied as a straight length or as a preformed shape. Kelvin Technologies also offers a Multicell Tubular heater which consists of three separate Tubular Heaters swaged into one outer sheath. This type of heater is ideal for applications requiring higher process temperatures, precise control or three phase power. A wide variety of fittings and electrical terminations are available including our proprietary rubber over-molding design, ideal for immersion applications.

Cast Heaters

Kelvin Technologies offers Cast Aluminum and Bronze heaters in various shapes and sizes in both heat and/or cool configurations, dependent on your application. Each separate surface can be supplied to you “as cast” or “machined” to meet your exacting specifications and tolerances. We will build each heater to suit your exact requirements.

Radiant Heaters

Radiant Heaters are non-contact heaters that are used in applications where conduction or convection heating is not practical. This style of heater is corrosion resistant and offers a black body for consistent maximum heat emissivity. Kelvin Technologies offers a variety of Radiant Heaters including Ceramic, Mica and Quartz Infrared types. These heaters are efficient and durable and can be suited to many different markets. Call us to discuss your specific application.

Thick Film Heaters

Kelvin Technologies offers Aluminum and Mica Thick Film Heaters that are ideal for use in many applications where fast response and heat uniformity are critical. For applications requiring high volumes, these heaters offer a low cost solution that provides maximum temperature response in a low profile and compact design. Thick Film Heaters offer distributed wattage, integrated or surface mounted RTD control, low thermal resistance as well as fast ramp up and cool down rates. All heaters are RoHS compliant. Medical, Laboratory, Food warming and Security trace element and residue detection are all prominent markets where Thick Film technology can be applied. We also offer various substrate materials such as Alumina, Stainless Steel or Aluminum Nitride among others, which may be better suited to your specific application. Our team of sales associates and engineers is readily available to discuss a Thick Film solution best suited for your requirement.
