The EXTRUHEAT Band and Strip heaters use rugged tubular heating elements embedded in an aluminum extrusion for fast heat transfer, even heat distribution, and long life. The EXTRUHEAT band features Heatron’s patent pending camping design for fast and easy installation on plastics processing equipment and other cylindrical heating applications and a special removable block terminal that makes terminal damage repair a snap. Now you can repair the terminal instead of replacing the heater.The EXTRUHEAT Strip Heaters are perfect for heating flat surfaces and include the same block terminal used on our Band Heaters.
APPLICATION ADVANTAGES
The EXTRUHEAT Band heaters are built in matching half or quarter sections. The sections are held together by our patent pending clamping strap. The strap is captured in a groove in the extrusion, which eliminates the handling problem with loose straps on competitor’s heaters. The strap acts as a hinge on one side of the band and 1/4" screws on the other side of the band fasten the heater around the cylinder.
The Kelvin’s EXTRUHEAT heaters are custom manufactured to your specifications and are available in 5 standard widths from 3/4 inch to 4 inches. Bands can be formed to any diameter requirement and strips supplied in any length. Kelvin’s EXTRUHEAT heaters can be supplied with optional tubing embedded in the extrusion for cooling applications or combined with tubular heaters for heat/cool applications.
