HEATFLEX KAPTON™ HEATERS ATTACHMENT METHODS

PRESSURE SENSITIVE ADHESIVE

The most common method of attaching HEATFLEX KAPTON™ heaters is with pressure sensitive adhesive. Kelvin has several adhesive available for its KAPTON™ heaters.The standard adhesive has a temperature operating range of -300°F to 500°F.

SELF-FUSING TAPE

For KAPTON™ heaters that are to be wrapped around smooth cylinders the best choice is silicone rubber self-fusing tape. This product will allow high watt density heaters to operate safely and can be optained from Kelvin.

CLAMPING

HEATFLEX KAPTON™ heaters can also be clamped between metal plates or part being heated and another rigid backing plate. For more information contact Kelvin.
